LEO Members Emily Allendorf and Judy Sihyon Park Receive Awards at CMU Technology, Management, and Policy Conference

Ph.D. students and LEO members Emily Allendorf and Judy Sihyon Park received awards for Outstanding Poster Presentation and Outstanding Platform Presentation, respectively, at the 2026 Technology, Management, and Policy Conference, hosted by CMU's Department of Engineering and Public Policy.

Judy's presentation was titled "Climate, air quality, and distributional impacts of transitioning away from coal-based steel production," and Emily's presentation focused on "Operational and Behavioral Drivers of Heat-Level Cost and CO2 Emissions in an Electric Arc Furnace."
